 The Library

Newly renovated in April 2014, the Pargiter Library serves a vital role in the learning and academic environment at CRMS. The building itself is located in the heart of the campus and also houses the learning specialist, instructional support staff, and college counseling office, making it the true center for academics on campus. Students and faculty are drawn to this cathedral-ceilinged campus hub for its warm and sunlit space, cozy wood-paneled nooks, comfortable and practical furniture, and self-service beverage station.

CRMS maintains an excellent and diverse library to meet the academic, recreational reading, and information needs of the community. The library contains 14,000 volumes of fiction and nonfiction books and subscribes to nearly two dozen periodicals and multiple databases. DVDs, a Netflix account, and electronic readers are also available to the
community, while a relationship with the Garfield County Libraries offers students extended access to more databases, media, and interlibrary loan books.

Information literacy skills are integrated into the academic curriculum, with the librarian and teachers coordinating assignments. The librarian is also available for one-on-one consultation. Outside regular daily hours, the library is additionally proctored for evening study hall Sunday through Thursday evenings and generally open to students for use during daily and evening weekend hours.
